Default is there a significant differance between Rotella vs conventional

First off, I sold my 04 Duramax... I have 4 or 5- gal jugs of unopened Rotella 15-40 left over and am wondering what the major difference is between that and the 20-50 i just changed into the 2000 silverado 5.3.
Anyone ever run this in a non diesel application?
My gut says it should be just fine but I cannot find any comparisons on it anywhere.
It Does not have a car on the oil bottle...(lmao)
It's all I would use in the Diesel but now I have the option (if possible) of saving almost a hundred bucks in the future if it is applicable to the gas v8//

Thanks Guys,, (gals too )

Why do you run 20-50 in a 5.3l?

The rotella is just fine. I run it when PU or PP isnt on sale.
