Default Synthetic or Conventional oil at 57k?

Trying to decide what type of oil to run at 57k on a 5.3. Interested in running Amsoil, Royal Purple or Mobil 1 but dont want to spring any leaks with almost 60k on the clock.

Do you guys see any real results from running these synthetic oils?

There is no real proof to back up gains from syn oil, but if you feel better with it in then youll be fine at 67k +. The only time you DONT want to use syn is in the first 2k-3k on a new motor, during the break in. But be shure to change it 1k from first fill because synthetic pulls all the old deposits from the petrolium based oils and may clog the pick up. So fill it up change it at 1000 on the syn and re fill and your good for 4k-5k

i have swapped to amsoil in the past 4 vehicles when they had under 200miles on them, never a problem. Motors are already broke in.

I would use dyno oil if you service every 3k and Syn if you go 5k+ per service.

Put in whatever you want (or what you can afford). I've used Mobil1 since day1 on my car and truck.
