he certainly needs to work on that 60' time, that's just awfull. keep the damn thing cool when you're running it too. i swear some guys just try to see how warm they can get it sitting in line.

I have SEEN stock RCSB 5.3's run in the 14's here in Maryland. Do a search, you'll see. My heavy EXCab ran 14.98 with Hypertech HPPIII, Magnaflow catback, and AEM intake. With only adding a converter it went 14.57. Sorry about your luck.

Hey Im the guy with the truck. I mean there is a little traction issue. Dont bash on the headers dude, I know there not top or near but they definently helped pulling up top. Im planning on a 3000 stall and some cheap slicks. But I mean if 15.7 is not that off then you know what can i say. But 2.4 60' foot cant be that bad. My buddies allwheel drive had a 2.244 and its not like there is really alot of art to launching an automatic, atleast I dont know if there is. And I had the truck off the whole time in the lines.

A 2.4 60' is REALLY bad for ET's. You could easily gain 0.2-0.4 just by getting a better launch. And there is definitely an art to launching a truck since there is practically no weight on the rear.

A converter would really help. Also, look into a Trans Go shift kit, Corvette servos, and an Eaton posi for the rear. Those mods will help out a BUNCH!

Good luck man!

On my 15.4 run, my 60ft was a 2.4. I spin pretty bad, due to these low profile, hard *** nitto street tires. I could have probably knocked off a tenth or two with some softer tires. My last trip to Hattisburg was on some damn Kumhos. I never got a full pass and after three tries I gave up. Traction has always seemed to be my enemy. So what did I do, I got a 6.0L and a 3000 stall. Whoops, now I have to buy some slicks.

Just because you haven't been able to run the times you would like, don't say other peoples times are BS. My truck only has a UPD air intake. Hawkn01, Joe Overton, and a bunch of EFA guys were at the track when I ran the time in my sig. That's no BS.

Ok so by what your saying, you might as well buy a "single cab sierra' save 17000$ dollars instead of buying the SS because you ran faster than my buddies, with a PCM and Air intake? Is that what you are saying?

That's not what I said, that's what I did, and for the money I spent, I'll take my truck over an SS. Mine was $18,500 out the door. 2.1 60' on the Generals that came on it.

well lets see try leaving at 1000 rpms and then 800 rpms to see if your 60' times come down, let me tell you about heat and humidity after my tune and all the mods i have i ran a best of 14.6 then i deweighed the truck and i havent had much bette luck getting down to a 14.57 because of the heat, but after friday night with the temps getting down to cooler weather i hope to be a low 14.

stalling the truck to higher rpms will cause timeing retard do to torque managment.
