Are you having Traction issues? 2.4 is not what your 60' should be at. More like a 2.1 or better. I hear every tenth you shave off your 60' is 2 tenths faster on your 1/4 times.

haha, i think you are right Dungy, of course you added to the problem with your steak back syndrome and pepperoni nips.......................No the real problem is the 60', it is around a 2.4 and you need to shave it, kinda like your mom needs to shave that bush down.

you can't compare your times to rcsb since you have ecsb that is 500#'s heavier which is.5tenth's difference.

2001 RCSB 5.3 Bone Stock Motor

60', 330 1/8 and 1000' I can't remember, it was too long ago (around 2yrs)
1/4 15.06
MPH around 90MPH

This was early spring cool night, low humidity

Now with dual flowmaster, HPP3, and 160 T-stat with 18's, rollpan and fiberglass tonneau (weight) I couldn't get better than a 15.0 because of traction problems or humidity... gettin 2.2, 2.3 or 2.4 60'

Last week I let my buddy run my truck (yes I am admitting this) and he got a 14.91 with a 2.20 60' when I ran a 15.0 with a 2.26 60' about 30 min earlier. It was cold as hell out and low if no humidity at all...

Point of all this is 1. there are a lot of different things that determine someone's time and 2. those low 15, high 14 times are everything but bull.

edit: oops, I just realized you gotta EC, my bad.

Man it took till the 2nd page for someone to state the obvious problem??

You guys can't compare an EXTENDED CAB to a regular cab. That is kind dumb. There is a huge weight difference between the two..

The guy bascially has an intake a questionable tune (all tunes are questionable unless dyno or track proven). The headers are garbage and gears wont make a huge difference on a stock car.

Stock I ran 16.2@86mph. I should weigh about 300-400lbs more than his truck due to my 4wd but I had removed my tailgate and back seat. With an intake, no cats, muffler I could barely hit 15.6@88-89mph. It took a stall and a cam to even get me into the 14s. Then a bigger cam and agressive tune to get into the low 14s@97mph (4750lb race weight). And I generally have a decent DA at my track unless it's dead of summer.

So before anyone tells him he is WAY off or his truck is screwed maybe we should find out what the DA was the day he raced and at least the actual weight of his truck.

I personally don't think it is dumb to compare the extended cab to a regular cab. His mods aren't tops, but they are mods. They are(or should be) better than factory. So, when I go to the track and pull a 15.4 and my buddies stock extended cab 5.3 pulls me at the end for a 15.3, I have a hard time believing weight played any kind of factor. The same night several extended cabs run, some with mods, some without, but the fact still remained(that night), I COULD NOT BEAT A 5.3L IN THE QUARTER AT THAT TRACK. My truck ran a consistant 15.4-15.5 all night. The hypertech/k&n guys were in the "low" 15s, regular cabs were in the high 14s. I think no truck is created equal and as the top list proves, all trucks take mods differently. Hell, I even felt alittle bit with the throttle body spacer. Imagine my suprise when most people on here say it is crap.
