There's a TSB or memo or whatever to replace the connector with an updated version when you change out the pump. It's for the square connector. I think you have that one. Not sure if it is related to your problem or not though. http://www.acdelcotechconnect.com/pd...tsb_05D-83.pdf

Nevermind. It says excludes Flex Fuel. *foot in mouth*

Amazon is sending me another one, call took 7 minutes total, I just send the old one back with their label attached when I can. The easiest warranty/return claim I have ever had

had to redo the electrical connection on top of the tank, new connector I believe its a TSB that corrosion builds up in the contacts.

I'll check on that, and I'll compare my connector type to the TSB posted above. Thanks for the info. Would that red battery corrosion spray help prevent future corrosion?

Replaced the pump today. Time will tell if this one is any better.

Side note, the locking ring on the top was a b*tch to get back on using channel locks. I went to O'Reillys to get the special tool for it, but they initially had no idea what I was talking about, then looked it up and found it in the warehouse only, so no help there. And I did it with about half a tank of gas (no choice, have to ship the old one back to Amazon by the 24th), and must have spilled a few gallons out after disconnecting the filler hose, but luckily cleanup was easy, just wait half an our and it's gone Had a fire extinguisher handy just in case.
