Whats up guys! Im new here. I just bought a 02 sierra RST and was interested in finding out more info about my truck .

Is there a way to track down what truck # it was from Regency, and what all has been moded on it?
Any help from you guys would be great.
My truck is yellow with RST stiched seats.
I cant find any info about it onliine and only seen a few RST vid on youtube.

You can take your VIN to the dealer and have them print a full build sheet, may include all the RST stuff as well, not sure.

I don't believe RST released an official package until 2004 that was sold through the GM dealers. Any thing prior would have been done through Regency.

Most likely It's an RST clone with parts from a later truck. With out any documentation Its hard to prove.

Regency went out of business and I don't believe you can get records through them. Other groups and company's have popped up and you can still get some of the Regency specific RST parts.

Default I have seen another 02 rst

I seen a 02 on youtube that looks almost identical to mine.
I am wanting to find out more on what was moded because the truck does not shift like a stock truck. Tach goes WAYYYYY up when I punch it , and some times hits rev limiter. Something has definatly been modded in the computer.
Does it have a chip or what ?

Drives just fine if I drive it normal.

I looked around and could not find any solid info. It looks like in 01-02 there was a Regency truck package as well a CST Champion Motor Sport Truck package. I could not find any specific info on the net about what was offered as an official package. It looks like you could get anything from mild to wild in any color.

Please be aware that the official RST package did not start untill 2004.

It is possible that it had a hand held tuner/ programer. These years don't have chips. That was the older style ECU's. If its bouncing off the rev limiter though then the trans is most likely slipping...
