I haven’t worried too much about gas mileage lately with any of my vehicles. Gas is down to under $2 a gallon for regular here in Oregon right now and around 2.20~2.30 a gallon for premium.

Yeah when I first started driving gas was 1.80 and went up to over $2 and people were freaking out lol.

so since I’ve put the 22” wheels on I’ve had a terrible vibration at about 70mph on the freeway. Made me not even wanna drive the caddy. Well today I was able to fix it. I had some hub centric rings that wouldn’t fit the inner bore of the wheels, they were slightly too big but I recently bought 1/4” spacers for the truck because the passenger rear was running the inner fender liner on hard turns. The rings fit the spacers perfect and just a tiny bit went past them which meshed up with the tapered bore on the wheels perfect. I also torqued the wheels in a fashion my buddy who used to work at tire pros in Salem told me to do. Tighten the lugs using the torque wrench pushing down then flip the torque wrench 180 and torque them pulling up on it. He said he didn’t beleive that it would make a difference till he saw it when his old boss recommended it. Sure enough that did the trick and the truck drives super smooth now. while I was swapping the spacers on the wheels I noticed that the front sway bar bushing washer had pushed through and the passenger side end link was completely loose because of it. Put two new washers on that side and tightened it all down and the truck feels really sporty again. All it needs is 2x as much power and a big brake kit but that’s not gonna happen lol.

Also had one of my fan relays take a dump on me and I swapped in a new one and all is good.

truck is looking good with the new 305/40/22 tires on it and rides awesome again.

got some vortec max badges for it. I had ordered satin black and red ones and didn’t like them at all. The chrome and black looks allot better on this truck.

Sold my Escalade today. Was hoping to pick up this clean white tbss for 9k but it was deleted off craigslist this morning. Been searching all day for a replacement for the truck and I think I wanna get a 07 escalade ext with the 6.2l. Found one for a little under kbb that I wanna pick up with 135k on it. Looks super clean inside and out. Hoping to hear back from the seller tomorrow.

I’m pretty bad about it lol. I’ve had like 150+ cars since I turned 15, about 45 bikes now as well. Longest I’ve ever kept a car was about 3 years. I just get bored after a while or once I feel a project is finished.

I've got the perfect next project for you.. 2003-2004 Chevy Avalanche. Charcoal gray exterior, gray leather interior without body cladding. 2wd with trutrac and 3.42 gears. Swap in a NV4500 with a L92 that has VVT removed, and a cam for mid range. Maybe you want to bump up the compression, or add coilovers. Perhaps 6 piston calipers up front, or even just the new factory 4 piston caliper setup. Might I suggest and HD or carbon fiber hood. Good luck with that, and think you could post it up here this time when you're done with it?
