Default LONG Start for 5.3, AHH!!

Ok i asked this awhile back, I still takes my truck about 10-15 to start my truck when you let it sit awhile? i replaced the fuel filter and checked the vaccum line on the regulator for leaking fuel, but found none, spark plugs didn't make a difference either. Whats wrong? I cannot figure this out and i don't want to take it to the dealership! help me guys

I had similar problem with my 99 when I'd let it sit. I put an Optima red-top battery in it. I noticed that even when I let it sit for 2 weeks, it would fire up right-away when I turned the key. I don't know if this helps any!?

I can hear the fuel pump when i turn the key to the on position. Now on the regulator, should i really replace it? I noticed that it has a filter in it, could it be clogged or something?
