From what I understand, the hardest part will be putting the needles back on in the same spot. Take a detailed pic of each needle before you pull it off and refer back to it when putting it back on.

Just saw this, great price and no fooling around with the needles

HERE

You will have a functional tranny temp gauge with this too. Only thing is you will have to have the mileage programmed

wow, 240$ is extremely high for gauge face, needles and bezel. I would honestly contact usspeedo (I think they are a supplier to JPcustoms) and just deal with them direct. They can also program it for you

Check E-Bay, I bought A brand new cluster for 240. 0 miles 0 hours and it is A heck of a lot easier to pull yours out and install A brand new one than mess around with changing the face. Oh and the new cluster came with A trans temp. Plug and play in 5 minutes and you have your old one if needed.

Changing the face on the same type of gauge is not hard ... it took me less than 1/2 hour and that was with resetting one of the needles twice. Basically you remove the gauge (4 screws) remove the back and pull the needles (they simply push on and off buit are tight) and then reassemble. Be sure to note where all the needles sit with the ignition (not motor) on because that is where you want to replace them. I still have an ss overlay if you are interested. I went with us speedo and found one on ebay for $75.

Its either that or buying a brand new cluster for twice that price. .

jpcustoms is no better deal than going to a dealer. In your link from them, your buying the whole bezel, not an overlay FYI.

Installing a whole cluster is easy, remove dash overlay, remove 4 7MM nuts at each corner, disconnect harness, reverse.

For an overlay drive it around the block to get everything where it would normally be, mark the needle spots, get a fork, pop the needles off put gauge face on, reverse.
