Default Hood Flap

Does anyone else have problems with the front corners of the hood slightly lifting? If a big rig goes by in the opposite direction on a 2 lane the corners lift about an inch. Hitting small bumps at highway speeds causes it to bounce a little too.
It always makes me think my hoods not latched.

Anything i can do to stop this? its really annoying.

Do you have the bump stops in the front corners adjusted correctly? It shouldn't move like that. Mine never has.

I'm not sure how far mine are (truck is at home with the headers off) but the hood didnt sit but maybe 1/4 inch off my head lights when it is shut. I would just lower them until you hood and fenders line up pretty even

You need to make the bump stops touch when your hood is even on top with your fenders, and keeping an even gap along the front over your headlights and grill. You might also look at your hood latch assembly to make sure it is adjusted correctly. Those little bumpstops get out of adjustment very easily, you might try some thread lock to keep them adjusted.

It looks the right height and everything. I'll check my latch.
TylerCustoms. If it checks out and ends up flying open I'll get pics of it for you. My hoods factory.

Or if your nervous and insured, leave it popped off the safety latch and go for a slow ride with some glasses on and let it open, then get it all covered by gm or insurnce and make sure whoever installs the new hood and latch adjusts it properly so it doesnt lift

I'd rather not have another insurance claim. They had to fork out 16k back in january to pay for a 5 month old Escape i rolled.
