Thanks for the "SOME" 5.7L Dodge Ram pickup owners ( for Jim/Y2K, no "H" word ) comment in the original post Gonzo. Too bad there are so few educated Dodge truck owners compared to those on this site.
At least some of us Dodge owners got some satisfaction of ownership before getting our hats handed to us like you did to the fellow Ram owner.....expensive reality check for sure!

Ktm
i know youve been open minded, hey have you done anything with your 5.3 punched motor?Im not sure your disappointing dyno numbers are due to the came that you are using.I have my crearm buff 5.3 pull out motor and was planning on finding a deal on some Ls1 pistons, build a budget back up motor,or put in something.

Also like Y2k said,STS? Its been on a while now.

I did some further tuning on the stroker and got a lot of the top end back. No dyno numbers but it feels a ton stronger at 4k/60mph up. I am traveling in Portland thru mid Feb and have not had a chance to play with either of the trucks.
The STS is coming along. The power seemed kinda low on the base 5psi but we have been working with STS Rick directly to resolve. Found out the actual manifold pressure was 2-3psi lower than at the TB/intake. This is why the power was low and also why our A/F ratio was lean ( the 9th injector is manifold pressure activated ). My partner in ABQ changed a few items and BOOM, the butt dyno is really feeling the "lost" power.
Gotta thank STS and specifically Rick Squires for intense follow up and troubleshooting with us. Great customer service before AND after the sale....

Hey Ghetto, we should be seeing 350ish to the wheels with the base 5psi and others with IC and 7psi are around 415 whp. You should still hand us our azzes tho.
Most are saying stop at 10psi on the stock motors rods and pistons. We are trying to ge the aftermarket folks to pony up some forged internals but the piston top ring land to crown thickness, or lack thereof, is making our butt cheeks pucker! So far most of us have installed on our daily drivers and are being very careful of the boost levels.

Nice numbers, I'm not familiar with the STS turbo's, what size are they. I put down 305hp and 452trq to all 4 wheels. That was with 18 lbs and the most conservative timing setting. When I get my Alki in and running I'll be able to push 22-24 lbs and more aggressive timing.

STS stock uses .96 AR on exhaust and .60 on compressor. Kinda smallish but helps reduce lag and get full boost by 3000rpm or so with max boost of about 15-20psi.
Your truck models have always impressed me. Even the 305 HP value at all 4 wheels would be around 360ish to the rear only. The torque is just plain crazy/awesome, throw in AWD thru a V6 and it tells ya that turbos are the way to go!
