Why is everyone jumpin on Gonzo's back? He even said that he knew he was gonna beat him. The Hemi guy just thought otherwise. He didn't con him outta any money or anything. I should be getting my new plates soon, and there's a local guy who actually has a bumper sticker across his back window saying, "Yeah, it's got a Hemi". I'm gonna back right up to it with my HEMIKLR plates and take a picture. Lemme know if you guys want me to post it when I get it.

Gonzo, right after I did my heads, and the truck didn't have 2500 miles at that time and it didn't have anything else done to it, it ran a best of 15.1, but also the humidity was up so high that day that a guy with a rcsb hemi with a 125 shot only ran a 14.5 for his best time, I guess its low 14s or better, maybe a 13.9, but that would be pushing it hard, you know on one of them 40 degree nights....LOL.......also keep in mind I've done the exhaust system and a few other mods since then, best thing is weight reduction on these trucks.

Drive what you like and like what you drive.Thats all that matters. If GM built these were I was limited to what gains i could make i would be very disapointed, since these Gen3 motors are so easy to extract HP and will hold up well to 20-30 WOTblasts per fill up shifting @6K RPM,I am happy for the bang for the buck.

Gonzo, I agree man.............I was a silverado guy before the first ram, a 2003 model QC, then the bee, but if things don't come into play soon I have no clue what I'm going to do. To tell ya the truth, I bought the cars and parts and built them over the past few months to keep from doing any more tinkering on the truck, but its hard to do as we all know. A regency or either the one LA West just did might be in the near future, the wife and kid love the Bee, and I like it, but the aftermarket is so crazy for not figuring this system out and capitalizing. Currently about the only thing I would go with right now is the GSM/Paxton kit, it produces good numbers and is safe as far as tunning goes, the STS kit has alot of tunning issues that still haven't been resolved. IMO I think STS jumped on the bandwagon to quick on the hemi, their stuff works good on GM products, but as we all know, you can tune them to a fine line, unlike the hemi system. And poor Kenne Bell has a kit coming out in a few months now for over a few years, so I don't even look for him to do anything...LMAO

Gonzo, I do most of mine on the cars as far as tearing down and all, a good friend of mine here has a nice shop that does speed work, he does any machining I need. I tear it down, he does his work and I put it back. On my truck he did it all, I dropped it off on a sunday night in the parking lot and picked it back up the following wednesday evening whrn I got home from my work which keeps me out some, didn't get to participate in it at all. But yeah most of my stuff I do or get assistance with getting it done.

You're from NC right? Fayetteville is open on Sunday afternoons if the weather is good (which it WON'T be this weekend). Come on down, you and I should have a good race going!
