Default Heated seats dont work that great?

I recently purchased a used but very low mile(9,000) 03 Silverado SS it has heated seats and I find that the backs of the seats get really hot so much that I have to turn them down but the bottoms of the seat where you sit never seem to get very warm. Is this normal for GM heated seats? I havent ever owned a GM with heated seats before.

In my truck the seat back gets hotter than the bottom but I hardly ever turn on the bottom heater. I have a problem with mine where the drivers seat back heater turns on by itself sometimes, usually after it has set out in the rain of on a night with heavy dew. It will cycle HI-Med-Low-Off then start over. It does this pretty fast then it will stabilize at med or low. Haven't been able to figure it out.

My Heated seats both front and mid rows get hot as hell... they seem to be pretty equal from *** to back heat wise but unless its like 20* out i cant use high cause i actually get burned after a while lol.

Now my fathers 05' Denali his seats are just weak compared to mine. They seem to be equal from bottom to back but high is equal to my med/low settings.

I actually tried mine out this morning. They were even and hot. I just hadn't used them in so long I forgot. It's in the 70's this week.

Its in the high 30s here now but was down the 5 degrees a few weeks ago here in Chicago. But hey no matter how cold it gets here or much it snows in Chicago nobodys house blows away or is flooded out.
