Decision on new truck
#1
Ok guys I know im in the gm section so it may be biased but try your hardrst to give an unbiased decision. Ill be in the market for a new truck soon, currently drive an 04 z71 cc silverado, custom tune, magnaflow, intake. It has 135k on it been a decent truck but ive had alot of problems to.... Steering knuckle issue thatthese models had, called dealer but the recall didnt cover my truck even though it had the problem so that pissed me off good. Speedometer crashed twice. 4wd issue (all the sensors and crap).. Either way im over all that.. Im lookin at either a new ecsb silvy with 6.2 or a new tundra with the trd charger.. I like the power both trucks lay down, I like the idea of a factory supercharger under warranty more but for some reason the 6.2 has my attention as well.. What kinds of mods are gonna void the warranty on the 6.2? Tell me what you think!! Sorry so long windef

IMO new chevy with 6.2 throw an dry flow intake and magnaflow muffler and your good as far as warranty. tune would be preffered but you run the risk of them not covering it
what was the steering knuckle issue about?

I hear you guys, whats a good otd price on one of the 6.2s. I dont want an ltz with all the bells and whistles. Im lookin for an lt silverado/sle sierra power windows power locks 2wd. If I can get otd for low 30's ill be a over it

Silverado 6.2 NHT, 373 ! Fun to drive and a great tow platform to build from. Low 30's should'nt be a problem. Edlebrock just released an E-Force SC kit for this truck. For an extra 975.00 will get a 100k warranty package just not through GM. Think it's engine only warranty.

Wow!! Good news. The more I read the more Im feeling the 6.2.. The trd charged tundra would be a blast but everyone knows the aftermarket for gm is through the roof! and the fastesr trucks are silverados. Loads of trucks in the 11s and 12s...
