Default Converting from DBW to DBC...

What would would it take? I'm sure this has been done and I'm sure there is a thread on here, but the search function sucks anymore.

I have an 07 classic with DBW TB. I need to know everything it would take to convert to DBC TB. Thanks

I would also like to know this. As well as what tuning would be needed.

Just curious, why do you want to go to a cable tb?...I would think you would need obviously the tb, cable, pedal and you will have to wire the iac and tps into the pcm, as far as the pcm I would think it would be easier to get one from a cable truck. Then theres the cruise parts if you want to keep that. You might be time, money and aggrevation ahead to just get a tbss intake and tb plus the $225 x-link to make it work

I don't care about time or money. It takes alot of both to go fast, its just part of it. If someone can make me a 4150 tb that's dbw, I'll buy it right now.

I would rather have the cable driven for other reason though

Call me old school, but I prefer cable driven throttle bodies over DBW myself...one thing that I like about my 99

The DBW T-body has to be the absolutely worst idea that has been put in a vehicle in the last 100 years. I have no idea why a car manufacturer would even debate making such an important part of a vehicle inferior just to save a buck. I wish I could take the person for a ride that decided to make that, and see the look on their face when my truck goes into REP mode. I have gotten to the point where I just drive around with a scanner plugged in all the time so I can clear the codes while the truck is coasting with the engine off. I would love to switch my truck to cable.

There's going to be a few issues (because of the bcm). Easiest way to do it is basically strip the cab and engine harness out and run a 99-02 setup. It's an issue the guys doing V8 swaps in 03+ trucks have to deal with, most want to keep the DBC the V6 trucks come with but it's just too much hassle. My swap, I just converted the truck to DBW for simplicity's sake.

Any info on this? Throttle bodies are double the price for dbw and there's not too many dbw tb's out there.
