If your motor has the built in PCV in the driver's side valve cover you don't need one. If using after market covers like the Holley LS covers then it goes between the cover and the can.

Norris can did work but it was only the can and it was pretty small. I went with the RX monster because I wanted a bigger can and a full system ( Clean air separator ). I have also never seen a video comparing Norris to other cans, were this RX monster can was compared to Moroso with 2K mile test and ended up catching ounces of junk that the moroso did not. The guy ran them in line and that pretty much sold me on it.

Yup, $400 was a a lot for a catch can but I plan on keeping it for the life of the truck. My dual valve also supports Boosted and NA setups.

The check valve I referenced is for the fresh air inlet side (to the PS valve cover up front) to make sure that nothing gets pushed back into the throttle body primarily during decel--more relevant for a manual trans, though. It prevents any mayo looking deposits from creeping. It happens.
