Default Aftermarket Tachs mounting

How/where did you mount your aftermarket tachs? I was thinking about putting mine on the steering column using a band clamp. Not sure if I would like the appearance, maybe if I use a black one.

What method did you use to secure it to the dash or a-pillar? Kind of hard to see in the video. I have an Autometer 2302 that is in need of mounting.
