Are X-pipes really worth it???
#1
I currently have Pacesetter LT, high flow cats, and true 3" duel Flowmaster 50 Deltaflows. Will I really see much of a difference in adding a x-pipe after the cats? My best 60' to date is only a 2.374. It really needs to come down.

future plans are wcch lq9 heads, gt2-3 cam, 4.56 gears, eaton trutrac, performabuilt lvl 3 4l60e and 2800 tc, and later a tvs 1900. just trying to lay the foundation.

just fyi, you might want to step up to a lvl 7 tranny if you plan to add a tvs on top. otherwise it sounds like you've got a good plan.
as far as the x-pipe goes, it helps add power by equalizing the backpressure between the two exhaust manifolds. on top of that, it makes you exhaust flow better in general and sound better.

x-pipe will help exhaust scavenging, im not a fan of the flowmaster mufflers, in my opinion there are much better flowing mufflers out there, i run a spintech which is the same sound cancelation type muffler
and will be going to dual 3inch catless with magnaflows
your future mods sound great! just in my opinion the 4.56 gears are way to low a gear running a TVS1900, from what i have learned here on pt.net 3.73 are a good gear with a maggie
and will be going to dual 3inch catless with magnaflows
