Introducing LSX: No Dream Is Too Extreme
Dream bigger. Because the new GM Performance Parts LSX takes the LS-series V8 to the ultimate extreme. Shaped from 50-plus years of V8 know-how and refined with the speed secrets of Warren "The Professor" Johnson, the LSX block was engineered to handle up to 2,500 horsepower, all for a price that will have the rest of the world wondering how we did it. Build your dream with LSX, available March 2007.

2500 hp, holy crap.

I'm thinking that the 4.25x4.25 (stock deck height) is the way I'll go. 'Bout 483 cubes if my math is right. Will chevy be making a crank also? Just wondering whether to go turbocharged or N/A. That will infuence the piston choice.

I'm thinking a fairly "mild" but well built street engine running an easy 10 psi ought to make about 800 engine hp. Yes, I know I'm aiming high......but, she has plenty of time to come up with the $. Guess she needs to ask for a raise when she gets back to work. "It's for a good cause."
with a procharger I think thats definately doable theyve produced those numbers on moderate boost with less cubes. Check out
EPP website theyve got alot of set by step builds

Forget forced induction, my plans may be a N/A 483 with high compression. I wonder if some of the engine builders will start offering forged longblocks setup to be retrofit into the 99-06 trucks. I know Texas speed and performance has L92's offered already.

By the time I have the cash to do either there should be some interesting options.
