GMPP 511CI small block-no sleeves-can use all lsx components-costs 2k dollars-same dimensions as an ls2
still weighs 100lbs less than any motor that can even come close to those cubes, has less moving parts, makes more power and costs less then anything any foreign automaker might dream up

forget about it

Even the top half for an engine like that is extremely cheap the l92/l76 setup with TB, rails and injectors is only 1500. I can see building a small block 454 for around 6500 bucks thats crazy

Now my wife has a full year to save up for my Christmas present. Maybe if I mind real well, don't stay out too late, don't drink too much, and don't look too long at other women, she'll have one under the tree. If I'm extra good, maybe even a few goodies to go in and on the block.

I'm thinking that the 4.25x4.25 (stock deck height) is the way I'll go. 'Bout 483 cubes if my math is right. Will chevy be making a crank also? Just wondering whether to go turbocharged or N/A. That will infuence the piston choice.

I'm thinking a fairly "mild" but well built street engine running an easy 10 psi ought to make about 800 engine hp. Yes, I know I'm aiming high......but, she has plenty of time to come up with the $. Guess she needs to ask for a raise when she gets back to work. "It's for a good cause."
