Default Who makes the best ignition wires?

The names I hear the most are MSD and Taylor. Taylor's 10.4mm wires sound pretty nice. How does the extra diameter affect performance? What about Crane Fire Wires? They have 25 ohms resistance per foot on their 8.5mm wire.

I think the general consensus is that the stockers are just about as good as any aftermarket ones you will find out there...

Really? I had heard that about the ignition modules themselves, but not about the wires. Seems like everywhere I turn, guys are running MSDs or Taylors. Of course, they're also running alot more HP than I'll ever be running. Well that's good to know! I'll spend the $75 or whatever they cost on something else!

Aftermarket plug wires for todays cars are just a bunch of hype. Unless you just have to have a different color plug wire.
I vote to go buy you a new set of O.E. plug wires. Plus they have a heat sheild on them.

For HP over stock applications, MSD or Taylors. For stock type stuff, or slightly more HP than stock, the OEM's are perfect.

HUH??
Slightly more HP than stock??? They will handle a lot more HP & TQ than you think.
Do you consider 500-600 HP just slightly more HP than stock?

That's funny this thread came up. I have Nology Hotwires. About 2 1/2 years now. Seem like very very nice wires as far as quality goes. I was just checking all connections yesterday due to what is a bad start (no idle) every so often (very random) and one wire pulled right the F out of the boot and clip. Like it was never crimped down right. What does that tell us? uh those were probably put together on a friday afternoon, but FWW, I was prey to the wire hype. In todays world of NBS', if your gonna waste your money, waste it on something else like a Tijuana hooker . (I only paid 30 bucks/hr back in '92, not sure what the going rate is these days)
