I'm 5800 lbs also, but with me not in it, so there's at least two that are heavier.

 

Can you lose weight? Meaning...can you remove any parts of your truck to make it lighter when you run at the track? I'm thinking my spare tire, 3rd row seats, and sub box are good for a 100 lb drop.

 

You can remove just about everything that isn't necessary for safety or actually making the vehicle move. I read about some of the F-body guys that went so far as to remove all of the interior trim panels to get their cars as light as possible.

For trucks, you can (in increasing complexity): run the tank almost dry, remove the spare, jack, rear seats, go back to stock (or lighter) wheels/tires (big difference), remove running boards, and maybe even swap out the rear bumper for a roll pan.
