Default 4l80e stock rebuild kit?? and valve body mods?

I been up and down and researching for awhile now on a rebuild kit for my junk yard 4l80e with 130k on it, I'm very low on funds and like to freshen up this transmission with a stock rebuild other than a shift kit or some type of valve body mods, My truck weighs about 5,500lb with 500hp to wheels 450 torque. What would be your recommendation on a stock rebuild kit and also either a transgo shift kit or jakes shift kit?

What mileage does it have? Does it need a rebuild?

I got my kit from PBA: https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/home.php?cat=78

They have very complete kits that may be out of your price range. Depending on the mileage you might just want to do the shift kit and not even mess with a rebuild.

Has 130k and the salvage yard I got it from was out of a 03 2500hd 4x4 that was wreck they told me it worked fine taking there word that's why I like to open it and inspect everything and replace bushings and clutches and seals etc. And a shift kit

Shift kit isn't that much work, but a rebuild (replacing bushings, seals, clutches, etc) is exponentially more work than just a shift kit. The reason I ask is because I got my 80E with I think 107k miles on it from a salvage yard and decided to rebuild it and when I pulled it apart it was in immaculate condition, definitely no need for a rebuild. But I already had the rebuild kit so I did it anyways. And in the process of rebuilding it I made a few mistakes (some of which I still don't know what happened) and it caused some issues. If I had left it alone it would have worked out better and been cheaper.

How did the oil look? Any debris in the pan?

A stock 80E would probably be fine for your goals. An 80E with a shift kit would easily handle 500hp.

The new question is the best way to do the dual feed direct drum, I here mixed opinions on running HD-2 plate with a transgo kit and I here the other way of doing the internal mod to achieve this and then run the sonnex boost valve I'm not scared to open the Tranny it's already just setting on my work bench but like I said I'm very low on funds and like to get my truck back on the road but in a way have it done right the first time
