VHO weried nosie
#21
My motor will sometimes sound like a coffee can full of rocks when I roll it on pretty hard. (okay, not that bad, but you do hear a detonation-like noise).
I also get it just before or right at the 1-2 shift where second is applied.
I seem to get it most often when I have my timing set above 26*, above 4,000 or so.
I've scanned it, and it's definitely showing up as KR. Not sure if it's anything internal making the noise and tripping the sensors, or if it's real.... I tend to think it's real. My motor is very tight running/feeling otherwise.
I always run 93 octane.

Why would anyone buy a HIGH OUTPUT motor and put low octane fuel in it?
Might as well buy a 4.8 or a 4.3 for that matter since the computer is pulling timing which results in less horsepower. Also detonation will **** your engine up sooner or later.
