Question Gas Miliage For VHO Again??

I'm now up 15.7 MPG with my VHO. It's ok, but seems a little lacking.
It has 3,800 mi on the OD currently. Only upgrades: Volant CAI kit w/ ram air and 93oct Nelson Tune.
What do you think of the MPG? How does anyone with a SS or VHO compare to this? Natural Aspirated engine guys. Though I wouldn't mind hearing what the FAI guys are getting.
If anyone has any suggestions on what other upgrades or mods will give me better miliage, let me know.
The forced induction mod is out of the question though. I don't quite have the"approval" for that one yet.......and I don't see it happening soon either.

What mods do you have?? Is it 14 mpg all the time? Mine used to be.
If your looking for a miliage increase... The Nelson tune and the Volant CAI w/ ram air. The performance gains are nice , but the 1.5 mpg gain isn't much.
Was hoping for a little more.
Wish there were some easier ways, or shall I say, "cheaper ways."
Anyways, that's my best currently.
I take off pretty slow, keeping under 2,000 rpm's between the shifts.
I drive 65 MPH on the highway, 70 MPH very seldom.
Can't think of much more else to do, to get better MPG, other than parking it!
I have no races or hard accelerations with my current 15.7 MPG average on my last 93 oct Shell fuel. I know that's as best as it will get on this tank because it is already at a 1/4 tank.
HELP!!! This my truck----> !!

I have tracked my mileage over the past 2 months. I am getting 16.7 mpg over that period. I really kept my foot out of it the last tank full and averaged 18.8 mpg, but that is tough to do. There is also a noticeable gain in the mileage you get driving 65 vs 75.

I get about 15-15.5 mpg with a Volant and FloPro HD exhaust. I can't say that I drive under 70 or keep the shift points under 2000 rpm a whole lot either. Hoping an STS will help with better mileage...or maybe a WS6 so I don't have to drive my VHO!!

16.7-18.8 ????????? What the............. How? How many miles do you have on your truck?
I've really kept my foot out of it too, and I can't even break 16 mpg.
I'm kind of wanting to lean towards gonzo 6.0. I'm hoping he's right about the breaking in after 12,000 mi or so. believe me I can not wait.
I just have to deal with it for now.
Good luck modding guys.
Full long tube headers w/ cats and a complete cat-back system is next.
