I have a chance to get an 8.1 for very cheap. It came out of an 03 3500 with 30k miles. It needs a fuel rail and injectors, coils & wires, exhaust, alternator, p.s. pump, and computer. What would this engine be worth as it sits? Would the 8.1 be worth an engine swap in a 1500 series truck? I may buy it just to put in a jeep, but I was just curious what some people thought about this.
