Default Whats up with the VHO ads...strange

"Introducing the new Silverado VHO! It has 20's and more Tq than a Hemi." The way they make it sound and the amount of airtime leads me to beleive that they plan on making more than 3000. Why would they hype it up like this if they made 3000 04's and already sold 2000 of them. I think they are going to pump some more out as 05's. The late entry 04 VHO's must have been used to test the waters. I think the VHO should have been the direction GM should have taken all along instead of the SS. The VHO also seems like it is a few steps closer to the RCSB LQ9.

Its a 2wd SS without the cool inside, body moldings, and badges.

Also seems like most of the airtime is on the fox fox/sports networks. So who else has seen the ads and where are you located?

i haven't seen any here, but i have seen some nice looking trucks from louisanna that have the corvette emblem (where the 1500 goes on the side) on them with a cowl induction hood that reads supercharged HO or something like that. also, they are on 20's.

No kidding... you guys are lucky.

The only special edition type trucks around here are some "pro sport" packages that dealers put on... Something like $2,500 buys you polished 20" rims, a Corsa exhaust, chrome step-tubes, and maybe vent-visors or something. I believe there are some really small "pro sport" badges after the badges on the doors, almost like the "Duramax" sided badges on those trucks. I "think" you can do this package on any full sized GM truck.

I saw a black GMC 1500 done up with it a few weeks ago. It looked real nice - it's much more of a eye-catcher than mine.

Huh. I was looking for those trucks, when I found these trucks...

I'm in love with the red RCSB GMC. Even if it has a 4.8L (not sure), it's a pretty good price for what you get there.

They're not too far from me. I should go stop by sometime.

These "Regency" trucks are pretty impressive. The dealership where I bought my Vortec HO has 2 of them. They have a 4.8 in them, which surprised me. It had JBA Cat4ward headers and a K&N intake to go along with the 5 speed. Sweet looking truck, but $32k!

From what I have read on other boards, there will be more VHOs produced late in '05. More trucks and a wider distribution.

Yeah, the 32K is pretty pricey... but I like all the custom interior work, the body styling, and the brakes.

Those are three things I really like, but I KNOW I would never get around to actually doing them if I bought a truck off the lot. Look what I've done with this truck... NOTHING. I'd like to lower it and get a set of wheels, but I'm too caught up in saving for go-fast parts first.
