Default Turbo Denali REAL 1/4 mile times...

Where? Firebird Raceway...
When? Tonight...
Cost? $17
The look on their faces when I ran a 13.5 @ 100mph? Priceless...

There were some fast cars there tonight. This is my first trip since the Trans/Stall. I have something I need to figure out. Once I hit 3rd gear, the Converter locks up and I lose all my rpm and power. Any ideas??? I might have to ask it on a seperate thread.

1.9x 60ft tonight. I could only hold about 5psi of boost before the brakes took over. Too bad because the real power comes on at about 7psi. For some reason I was able to hold it on the street at 7psi and lay a smokey front tire(s) burnout, but not tonight at the track. Should be good for a couple more tenths.

Anyway, talked to a nice guy in a brand new Vette, 6-speed with headers back. His best run to date is a 13.4 @ 112. Ok, so he beat me... We compared time slips, I beat him the entire way until the end where the Vette starts to take over.

I'm faster than a Turbocharged E36 M3 by .2 tenths (his best run).

I'm faster than an E46 M3 by about 2 seconds (woman driving couldn't shift well, all night).

Stock Evo? Yeah, right, good try. Come back when you've modified it, then I'll take off the hitch and take out the baby seat.

I could go on... Fun night though. Once I get this issue figured out, it should be even sicker!!! Good times!!!

sounds like you are having a good time. sure you want to sell it?

i see a prety big diference in spool up time and how much i can brake stall with temp changes. was it warmer at the track or did the truck get heat soaked waiting in line. my truck almost always runs better on the street but i often go from a nice cooling cruze to stoping and running it. doesn't get any cooler than that.

great times, sounds like the only reason that vette won was because of the converter. I had the same problem on the stock tune in third it will lock at 80 mph no matter what. I just 256 valued the whole field under performance so when I push the tow haul button I can control it locking an unlocking works great also might want to modify the tcc voltage and offset helps keep heat down and locks it alot quicker

i lock my converter at about 4500 in 2nd and keep it locked to the end of the run. it feels slower but is actualy quicker. it is kind of wierd. i pick up about .1+ET and 2mph locked vs unlocked.

Sweet! You should into a tune from Wester's as well! Might get you into the 12's.

That STS system obviously rocks. Too bad it would not work in the winter up North here unless hidden from the snow.

At any rate, nice to see another rockin White Denali fly!

Great times. That must be alot of fun to outrun them cars in an SUV.

Parish is right because when I used to have the turbo Buicks one of the first mods was to put in a lockup switch. As soon as the converter locks it will drag the motor down and it will feel slower but it will almost always pickup ET and MPH. I have had 7 turbo Buicks and it has never slowed one down.
