No, no - let it fall back to idle keeping the brake mashed to the floor. Then at idle drop her in gear and build your boost.

Basically it just builds more vacuum for the vac assist brakes and lets you grip harder.

Yeah you are right. In my case, the last time at the track I hooked very well in 2wd. Stock Firestone Wilderness AT's, I did do a burnout which I have never done on the street. There are very few concrete roadways here. Other than sections of Interstate. Never tried to launch on concrete.

i see a prety big diference in spool up time and how much i can brake stall with temp changes. was it warmer at the track or did the truck get heat soaked waiting in line. my truck almost always runs better on the street but i often go from a nice cooling cruze to stoping and running it. doesn't get any cooler than that.
No, I really don't want to sell it. I'm still trying to figure out what to do about getting a 3rd vehicle for my Mom to drive. Something I can use. Since my wife and I tow quads, and I like to off "off-roading" at times, a 4x4 truck would work great for me. But then I would also need something 4-door as I would get a RCSB truck. Who knows, I'm still scheming...

Ok, let me try to answer a few other question!

- Temperature: 94-ish
- Heat soak: not sure. How can you tell if its heat soaked?
- Race weight: no idea. I think the pig is about 5800lbs.?.? Nothing removed except the spare tire (I routed the exhaust there so I can't have it in there).
- Converter: Good info everyone on the Converter locking, etc. That's one area I don't know much about. So if its locked in 2nd at 4500rpm, what about the 3rd gear issue? I've had the Tune tweaked about 3 times since the trans/stall but it still isn't right. I'll have to see what I can do about changing some of the values to get it to lock properly.
- My stall: its a 3400 (brake stalls to 3400, flash stalls around 2400 so it's very, very driveable on the street).
- Traction: I had no traction issues. I did talk to a few others that hate the track because of traction. They all said they can launch much better on the street than at the track. My all-wheel drive doesn't care if I'm lauching on marbles!
- Ty shuffle: interesting, never heard of that. It should certainly help. I try it out!

Do you know if this will work with the hydro-boost brakes as well as the vacuum assist brakes?

Weedo - very nice times, congrats

I don't think hydro-boosted brakes benefit from this, but I don't know for sure. I didn't think hydro needed help? :dunno:
