Thinking about Mustang 5.0 Cam Specs for 5.3L Vortec

So, I've been doing a lot of research... finding all the baseline data for my 09 Sierra in order to plug it all into my desktop dyno and start running combos.
Bottom line, I finally got it all in the computer, and started running different cams to find out which one I will most likely use when I do my DOD delete.
Interesting thing... I plugged an old set of Trick Flow Stage 2 Mustang 5.0 Cam specs into the computer (the same cam I ran in my 5.0), and found that the cam produced more power, a broader power band, and brought the power on sooner than any of the other newer and more popular LS based cams that I was thinking of purchasing. And this dyno is no slouch, I was within 9 hp and 12 ftlb on my mustang setup before I chassis dyno'd the car.
I'm sending Ed Curtis (@ Flowtech Induction) an email with the cam specs, and will ask him if he thinks it's legit (i.e. worth the money for a 5.3 given my current and future desired setup). If so, I might have him cut one for me.
I thought I'd post the specs here for everyone to see. I would love to hear comments on this.
Lift @ valve .542 int/.563 exh (with 1.6rr), lift on a 1.7rr would be .576/.598
Duration @ 050 224/232
112 LSA
110 Intake Center Line
Cam Timing with the 1.6rr
IVO- 4 BTDC IVC- 40 ABDC
EVO- 52 BBDC EVC- 0 ATDC
The Cam timing with the 1.7rr lift (.576/.598)
IVO- 3 BTDC IVC- 41 ABDC
EVO- 49 ABDC EVC- 3 ATDC
with the 1.7rr lift changes the LSA would be @ 111, and the ICL @109.
Seeing as that I'm new to the LS-x community, I'm not to sure if the duration will lead to to PTV clearance issues. I'm hoping that someone will chime in and let me know if the specs are even possible for a 5.3 with 243 heads.

i dont know much about how cams work but those # look perty good 2 me ! 224/232 , wait for the nite crew there the 1 with all the knowledge! iam sure they will have some comments , but i dont see nothing wrong with those specs!

man i ran a 224/230 .581/.592 114 in my 5.3 and had no issues, idled great, never quit pullin. i was runnin a 3800 converter tho. went 7.40s on the gas with the 80e. i say go for it, im buildin a project 5.3 and thinkin of runnin somethin like 228/236. we'll see how that works out

No one has asked what vehicle this is going into and what it is used for. A 3200 converter will not be enough for that cam, you will need a 4000 to have a decent 60ft. That cam is going to turn on like a light switch at about 4200-4400, would be a damn good cam later on when/if you upgrade to a 6.0. One of the fastest mild 5.3 setups out there ran 12.3s in a rcsb on a 220/220 with a 3600 converter, just something to think about. Large cams arent all theyre cracked up to be unless youre going all out with just an ET in mind. Just my .02 of course and I like smaller very driveable torquey cams too. Probably why Im running a much smaller cam than that in my LQ4.
