huh? like your motor is going to start having withdrawals?

You'll be fine.

I do 5500-6000 miles between changes

Edit: I use Valvoline Syntec 10/30

No worries, but Pennzoil Platinum has been shown to be better than Mobil 1 and it's about 5 bucks cheaper for 6 qts. I am switching from M1 to PP on my next oil change tomorrow.

I would think you would be fine. The only time I have seen trouble is on higher milage engines switching form regular oil to synthetic which tends to make them use a little but switching between two synthetics would be fine I would think.

I run BG 0w30 in mine but you have to get it from a shop as they dont sell to the general public. I go 15,000 miles between changes still changing the filter every 3k.

Don't worry Mobil 1 is better then Royal Purple and I have even heard some people say Pennzoil Platinum is better then Mobil 1. ASK BOB.

I used M1 since I bought the truck in 04, I changed in 07 to RP and noticed a difference. My GF used that PP in her SSS and didn't like it after using RP...her next oil change she's going back.

For the ones that change their synthetic at 3k, you can take my advice or not: PLEASE STOP!
