It seems like all the other syn oils are claiming they are better than M1. I haven't read any data on this. I use M1 but wonder if it's the best.

I've been running Amsoil in my wife's and mom's Toyota's for the past year with EAO filters, they're actually due for a change now. I had it in my truck for a little while too, then back to Mobil1 since that's what I had at the time.

As long as you keep up with your periodic maintenance, you should be fine no matter what oil you run (aside from recycled garbage or Crisco ha ha). It's just a case of what helps you sleep at night and brand loyalty lol. I like to use the best stuff if I can afford it, but I know that in a pinch I'll be allright if I have to make a switch for a while.

I have done oil analysis using mobil 1 and amsoil at the same drain intervals between sampling and same commute as always.
The Amsoil always had better wear protection, lower Iron and Copper (PPM) and so forth and the TBN was always higher with Amsoil then Mobile 1,virgin oil and the 4000 mile intervals I sampled at.The flashpoint was always alittle higher with Amsoil also,to be exact I would have to look at my tests again,it has been along time

I think I'll switch to Amsoil but I still have some M1 to use up.

Oh no the great oil debate hits again...

I'll be the outsider. I'm using Supertech Synthetic and change it when my truck tells me too (usually around 5000 miles). I gave up on all the oil propaganda and just started buying what is cheap. Truck has 130K some miles on it.

I was going to order a case of 5w-30 and 2 Toyota oil filters as well as 1 of our truck filters, from the link on LS1Tech, but now that I know you're a dealer, I'll shoot you a PM when the time comes instead
