Default supercharger question

well i have a 99, 5.3 reg cab..stock motor, djm 4/6 drop with 17's.its got the tow pakage and all the bare stuff. here is the thing..i want a fast truck...like 12's and i only have like 4000 to spend, what can i do? i wanted to put a procharger on it and like a 50 n2o shot but i know that my rearend and or tranny will probably go if i get on it under like 40 mph. what should i do.. any suggestions will be appreciated..and if i supercharge what is the best supercharger for performance and reliability..also will i be able to get decent traction with some radials or slicks, because i already break loose easily now? thanx for your help

I do have traction problems, but I know that will go away with slicks.....

I paid 5100 and installed it myself

I paid about 6 grand for what all I got at the time I orderd the blower. I got a set of TOG headers (~750), and a set of sway bars (~450). You do the math, and that's about what I paid. I have a z71 with p285/75/16's. That is one size taller than stock, and 2 sizes taller than stock 2wd tires. I can spin them from the line just hammering if conditions are right, if they aren't, I can always stall the convertor to about 1700-2000 and smoke them.

I would recommend getting some tranny work done if you blow it. I would do at the very least a shift kit and bigger servos.
