Snake oil imo, i got a free 12 quart case on time, noticed no difference during the 2 oil change trial period, so im going to stick to castrol.

Again, just my opinion

Yea, its not worth it. The people that feel a difference are the same people that feel a difference with a throttle body spacer.

i have been running RP motor oil for almost a year now.

I notice no difference over other high quality motor oils as far as power goes but I use RP because I trust it! Motor oil is something that I do not feel like skimping on. I also use the RP oil filter.

I am sure Mobil 1 is just as good.... I just trust RP and I feel like the extra $10 or $15 per oil change is worth it a few times a year\

Hey GTO Silvy - you have any data to support that claim about Penzoil Platinum? I would be very interested in seeing it. I am always interested in a better product!

RP is overpriced and over-marketed IMO. I believe in synthetics though, been using Mobil1 for years. As mentioned, the Pennzoil Platinum has been getting rave reviews, and the new Castrol is pretty good too I believe. I've been using Amsoil in both my mom and future ex-wife's Toyota's, trying out their 1 year/25k oil change claims (I have a thread about my Amsoil experiment that I have to finish in reference to this), and the only negatives in the oil analysis's on both was excessive dirt (that the OA company recommended air filter changes for, but the filters on both cars have less than 20k on them).

I may run RP in a high dollar race engine that gets abused regularly but I wouldn't bother with it in a daily driver. I've ran conventional Castrol 5W-30 ever since my truck was new and change it every 3000......never had an issue. Everybody has their own opinion when it comes to motor oil and that is my opinion, lol.
