The OP's leak is probably the cam sensor o ring. I've had a million of those come in puking oil, it leaks right onto the rear main and makes it appear it has a rear main seal leak.

@00pooterSS

I hope you are right in my case. I have an L33 that got an 8psi Maggie install @5k miles now with 105k miles. Catch can since the install.
Recently I noticed oil wicking the back of the pan kind of looking like it was coming out the trans inspection plug but its dry in there. Dry TC and starter gear. Not dripping to the floor.

I de-greased the hell out of the area and ran her again a few days and this time I flashlighted finding the point of exit at the starter plastic cover area. This crank shaft sensor is there. You think!?!

as many years are on those seals they probably all need to be replaced.

the cam sensor when it leaks will leave oil on both sides of the motor especially on the plastic close out panels (the plastic covers by the starter and on the other side)

Thanks, After posting I researched like I should have seeing no sensors there. Sigh.......... I was hoping for some luck.

update had to use acdelco seal and plate its work no more leak
