Default OE or aftermarket fan clutch

I need to replace my fan clutch and am leaning toward spending the extra money to get an OEM clutch rather than buy an aftermarket and being too tight and spinning the fan more than needed and robbing power.......opinions?
Electric fans are not in the budget right now...

You can probably find a good used one from someone who dumped it for e-fans.

You can get a set of fans for $75 and run an on off switch for under $10. Then when you get the money, just buy a harness from DLH2006 and you have a full efan setup for $145.

Guys, I appreciate the input (really) but that doesn't answer my original question on OE or aftermarket fan clutch and anybody's experience with replacement using one or the other.....

I don't think you'll find anyone here who replaced a clutch fan with another clutch fan. E-fans are one of the most popular mods. If I did want a reaplacement clutch fan, I'd find a used OEM one.

In my experience, aftermarket ones make the fan even louder than stock. That was on a OBS though.
