Default o2 Sensor question

I am going to be installing my new pacesetters and y pipe as soon as they get here. I was wondering since i have around 90k miles on my truck, and have original sensors, would it be good to replace them? I have the nelson tune with the rear sensors turned off already, but should i go ahead and replace the two front ones?

Anyone know the cheapest place to buy a couple, or the best brand?

I was thinking about the same thing when the time comes that I finally get some lt's (and I only have 43k on my truck). I figure, since it's already apart, and O2's can get "lazy" as time goes on, might as well swap them out. Price is the one thing that would hold me back...I'm sure they're not cheap. With 90k, I know that I would change them on my truck if I were doing headers. If you decide not to change them, I'd definitely put some anti-sieze on the threads though.

I replaced the front 2 on mine at around 80K. I had also heard that they get "lazy" and replaced them since I was going to be keeping the Tahoe for a while. I noticed an instant 1.5 mpg gain. I actually track every tank since new (142K now) and when I graphed the mileage, it was obvious it coincided with the o2 swap. Mileage had gradually started dropping starting at about 70K and spiked back up after the swap.

I believe I went with Bosch replacements from Azone. Had I known about Rock Auto I would have ordered then there. A quick price check showed they had them for $20 less than azone. I decided to not replace the 2 after the cats since they really don't do anything but set a code if your cats are bad.

Yea, i track my milage as well on every tank. I normally fill up around 300 miles, at 23 gallons. I guess ill just go out and buy some sensors before the headers get here.

Check out Rock Auto in case you missed my edit above.

How much were the Bosch ones at Azone? I guess they've been good to for you for about 60k now. (I had one replaced under warranty for a check engine light)

It was a while ago but I believe they were around $90 each. Some of the stuff has gotten cheaper over the past fer years. When the new body style came out parts were either hard to come by or just expensive.

make sure you use bosch or acdelco 02's. dont skimp on them since they are telling the pcm what to change for in fuel.
