Default Not getting the performance i thought i'd have

Got an STS kit
T60-1 trim
Meth injection
boost controller
running 9lbs

Rebuilt shortblock
Wiseco pistons -32cc
Stroker crank and rods from Eagle

I though i'd be running pretty quick with these mods, but not really. Ran a 14.9 on a fullsize SUV on 22s. I was hoping for so much more. What can i do to get it faster?
I also think i'm losing performance lately. Minor boost leak? Tranny going? Leaning out? General maintenance (injectors, spark plugs, etc)?

Thanks in advance for any help

What does your timeslip look like? 60' times?MPH?Those 22s are killing you. Actually that is a pretty decent time for an SUV.Those things weigh a ton or 3.

Do you have a wideband?? What A/F ratio? How much timing? Are you getting KR? What is you fuel pressure at? Do you have an intercooler in addition to the meth?
Once you answer those you will know where your power is going. There are so many ancillary things that need to be included to really make big power out of a good setup like yours. Im not too familiar on turbo trims, but is it possible that the turbo is out of breath? You have a 383 too right?? There is definately something missing as my truck was much faster with the S trim and 9-10# on the 5.3.

Well, what kind of SUV is it(4 or 2 door), 22's are heavy, trans slipping, boost leak and how many miles are on the vehicle? The SUV(weight of the vehicle) and the trans slipping would be a good starting point. What 14.9(your mods) vs. 17.0(stock mods)?? I don't know what a stocker runs but 2, 3,+ sec. off, is this good? Well I guess not if this guy is concerned. I think it's pretty good. You can go to the Joe Gibbs site and they have a 4 door Tahoe with times. I think it has a Radix on it.

No wideband. Not sure what my A/F ratio is. Not sure what timing is. Not sure if my ecu pulling back cuz of knock. Stock fueling system. Not sure what fuel pressures at. No intercooler. what did your tahoe run greentahoe?

Mines a 01 Tahoe. 5400lbs race weight. What does the transmission slipping feel like? I got 10k on the rebuilt engine.

Is this what i can expect from my weight/power? I thought i'd be a lot faster. Or am i just getting used to the speed now cuz it still feels as if i lost some from when i orginally ran the 14.9.

at 5400lbs I'd think you'd run faster as well. All those things you stated not having or knowing would be a step in the right direction.

Find out the answers to the other questions then we will be able to help you more. A tranny slipping you are mainly going to feel it at WOT near the shifts it is just going to feel like it is not pulling hard anymore and it just kind of mushes into the next gear it diesnt just bam! shift into the next gear its really kind of hard to explain just mainly something you have to experience but I tried my best.

You gotta consider having it dyno-tuned. I'm running 15.1 in an 04 Hoe w/an out-of-the-box Whipple and some tranny lag. Seems that with your addl mods, you'd be at least low 14's. The 22's are damn heavy, too.

I'll let you know how mine changes next week after bringing it to SlowHawk's shop for a dyno check-up.
