Default New Cam

I'm looking for a cam for my 03 chevy silverado with a 5.3. what was are some suggestions?

sorry that was blunt.. do you have a crew cab, extended cab or a regular cab? are you gonna be willing to swap the torque converter? if not i would say dont go over a 212/218 degrees of duration cam, with something under .600 lift at .050 so you can use ls6 springs... if you have a reg cab and will change out to a 2800+ rpm torque converter go with a thunder racing 220/220 cam on like 112 lsa

i have an extended cab. but i dunno if i want to change the torque converter just yet

then dont go over a 212/218 duration cam otherwise you will add time on to your 0-60 and quarter mile times. however from a roll you will feel a good gain.

how about a tbss stock converter? they go cheap.. i think they are like 2500ish? i dunno then get a slightly biger cam..

nooo you want the regular trailblazer torque converter. the one that goes behind the inline 6. whenever you take that torque converter and put it behind a v8 it stalls higher

Mnay guys have had good luck with the TR224 cam. I have one in the garage I'm no longer going to use that I'd sell.
