Default new 60' times not so good w/ auto 4wd

i haven't used my g-tech much since the yank went in. i was getting around 2.705 for 60'.

after the yank i only did one pass and came up with 2.646

i had it in auto 4wd and had some wheel hop. i think if i used 4HI i would have knocked off a couple tenths. 1/4 mile came out to be 15.502. i think i can get that down to 15.3xx

Yeah something's wrong if you can't cut 60' times around 2.0-2.2 sec with that converter and 4WD. Are you tuned? TqMgt stepping in and freaking out?

Definitely agree with everyone about your 60'. I was cutting an average of 2.4 without a converter in my ext. cab 4x4 while in 2wd. Are you stalling up at all?

That TT3000 should at least flash to 2600rpms if not 3000rpms out of the hole. I don't think it is that. I believe something else is the matter.

I know even how heavy and slow my truck is I could run a 2.5 60' time or faster with the stock stall...

i mostly think it was the poor traction on that one run. i bet if i put it in 4HI, none of the wheels will turn loose. i definitely lost alot of traction in the rear stock wheels due to the TC. auto 4WD helped a bit, but 4HI will be the ticket.

someone asked if i stalled it up. i thought that was the whole purpose of a TC is so that you don't have to do a brake stall. i just take my foot off the brake and stomp on it. now, in 2WD i have to feather it. which is no fun.

i am putting in the Eaton on tuesday. i just finished buying the tools yesterday for the install.

i will get back to you all after the install and get some new G-tech pro #'s

you dont have to stall it up to get a good time, i think it just helps with the reaction time is all.

TC??!!! if you have traction control than that is the problem without a doubt. TC sucks ***. in auto4wd you should still cut good 60's but it is smoother in 4hi but if TC kicks in your prety much done.

I always noticed that if I ran it to about half the stall the converter was rated at it would pin me in the seat the best. I never ran the black truck so I don't know what it would have turned with the TT2600 in it. I always ran in Auto4wd and only had a little bit of wheel slip, I wouldn't even call it spin. It would kinda slip then engage the T-case and nail me into the seat. In fact .... I think that I got better launchs in Auto than I did in 4hi.
