This is my dilemma as well. I have a perfectly good bare, LS1 block sitting in my shop. I may rebuild it as a forged LS1 for my '68 project and a 402 for my 02.

I use to be all about getting one of those intakes but after hearing lots of people having problems I am leaning towards the Edelbrock when I want to shell out the money.

Hope the retune gets her running right.

retune will fix it. if i pull off the vacuum line to the brake booster it runs great but idles at 1100 rpm. if i put the hose back on she smokes so bad it burns the eyes.

ak2007r6: you're still running the L92 heads, no? The truck intakes are the ones that seem to have the most issues, and the only FAST intake that matches up to our heads are the LSXR car intakes.

mine is sealed up good now. if i knew about the garbage that FAST was putting out i would have stuck with the TBSS intake. i really wish we had a FAST rep on this site that would open up about the crap products they put out. even their tech reps dont have a clue about what they sell.

once i get it tuned on friday and start driving it ill see how it does. if the driveability sucks ill switch back. this is the biggest reason im still running the 90mm TB. i wont invest in a nick williams until i know my intake is good to go.

on another not i bought taller aftermarket valve covers and they did not have a port for th PCV valve so i installed a breather filter where the oil cap used to be. i should be fine with that correct?
