I know this is a little late but did your fire start because you leaked fuel between your fuel rail and injector. or was it an actual loose fitting?

It sprayed between the last injector and the rail.

Ok new wiring harness arrives tomorrow and i have new fuel rails on their way. If all goes well i may be able to finally start this pain in the *** in the next 2 weeks. It's all coming to an end finally. Now it's time to break this 4L65E in half so i can buy a termec 6 speed lol.

So i pulled the intake off and started to swap the harness. Found multiple bare/melted wires on it and it's shameful to see the melted plastic on the fast intake. I'll post pics tomorrow. Going to pull off the grey plastic and paint it to match the engine. Hopefully it hides the burn marks lol.

No wonder you were having issues getting it to start. Probably the shorts causing the issue.
