Default Motor Upgrade

I have a 02 tahoe with 5.3 and I am planning on putting a headers ,cam, rockers, push rods, and lifters in it. I was wondering what products I should use because I am new to this. Well any help would be great and thank you in advance.

It looks like you might have a lift on you're tahoe? What are some more details on your truck, it's main use, towing, off-raod, etc? As for headers, most are going with coated pacesetters because of price and performance, they're a DEAL! Don't bother with rockers for now, just concentrate on cam specs. Where/what RPM range is most useful to you?

we have a full roller setup on our valvetrain so no need for aftermarket rockers or lifters on just a cam swap

if going with single exhaust, id suggest a pacesetter ORY to go with the pacesetter long tube headers

you need a cam, valve springs, pushrods, and probably upgrade to a LS2 timing chain and maybe even a ported ls6 oil pump

the cam really depends on where you want your power and how you use your truck

I just want it as a daily driver/hell raiser. I am lookin for just a all around peformance gain. What kind of sprinds, pushrods, and cam do yall think? On the cam I want agressive/performance but not a big lope like a big block.

LIST
Pacesetter long tubes
ls2 timing chain
ls6 oil pump

you can get a ported verison of the ls6 oil pump and TSP (texas speed and performance - sponsor to the right)

if you dont get the pacesetter ORY, you will need a custom mid pipe( y pipe xpipe hpipe or true straight duals)

depending on cam you can either get by with ls6 springs or you might need some comp918 springs, or if you get a HUGE cam(not likely) get patroit dual golds

you need some hardened pushrods, TSP has some hardened chromemoly pieces (7.4")

an LS2 timing set is a great upgrade

it sounds like something on the order of a comp 216/218 is what would suit you more

i'd do a 212/218 comp if i were you. sure, its a smaller cam but you're driving a brick with large tires. it would suit your ride imo. you could also use ls6 springs for this.

Do a 6.0 swap...save you a lot of re-doing later on...
