Default Meziere fit with Radix?

I've had the Meziere elec water pump on hand for over a year but some problems with me have prevented getting it installed.

When I bought it I was not able to find out for sure whether it would fit with the Radix brackets. Meziere and Thunder Racing didn't know at that time either. They thought it would but they didn't really know from experience as they had no first hand knowledge of anyone having done it.

So, before I tear into it in the near future... has anybody tried it? Will the Meziere elec pump fit with the Radix?

Thanks for the welcome! I'm happy to see you as well as some other sigs with which I'd become familiar and friendly.

I see you are running with a 4l65E Level 5. I'm looking for recommendations for a trans as well as for a rear end/axles and am wondering what attributes the 65e has that led you in that direction rather than to a 80e.

Thanks Jim

Actually, I don't think that the FLT level 5 65E is recommended for anything more than 600fwhp. FLT is currently building me an 80E to go with the new motor(LSX 427). Plans are for somewhere around 1000hp.

I am also afraid of what 900ft-lb @ 2600 RPM launches will do to the drivetrain on an over 6000lb truck. The Av's have pretty good traction with close to 50/50 weight distribution and the 5-link.

The axle swap is more of a pain on the Avalanches due to all of the bracketry for the 5-link suspension and the fact that the Av axle is an inch wider than the trucks. I have read that some Escalades came with the 9.5" FF that might be a drop-in for the Av, but my gear guy hemmed and hawed about it.

I also picked up a rebuilt 2500 truck t-case which is a little stronger than the 1/2 ton case. 6 pinion planets vs 3 or 4 on the 1/2 ton version.

My plans are also for about 1k hp w/a 427. Have you talked about the build in another thread? Or, if not, what combination(s) of parts are you looking at for the build?

There are a couple of recent LSX builds on here. Both twin turbo and blower.

That's a lot of info to ingest. Thanks for the jump start on my build.

Given my lack of sophistication it'll take me a while to digest it. I do think I'll probably skip the dual blower idea. .... way, WAY, too much for me to handle the technical difficulties. I'll have to stay with the MP2300, or the next in the evolutionairy chain, if my build takes long enough to come to fruition.

Starting with the drive chain this year, as the trans is obviously the weak part in the mix, then the engine next summer/fall... I hope.

Still wondering about the Meziere but I think I'll just tear into it in a couple of weeks and find out... unless someone knows something???????
