You can shave quite a bit. Depends on cam size (piston to valve clearance) and the target DCR, SCR, Octane level etc., etc. that you are trying to achieve with the cam you have selected.

Two totally different set of heads.
Then i was told wrong.

Thank you,

Yes we can do it!

$750 for CNC porting and valve job
$200 for larger 2.02"/1.57" valves (makes it stage 2)
$250 for PRC .650" spring kit

$1200 plus shipping get it all done!

Matt's pm back to me when i was looking into a set of heads for my 5.3 project.

.035" safe and it still fit all your bolts in the powersteering bracket. .040"+ becomes an issue and you can't line up all the bolts on your bracket

That program that they were going to run on your heads is for the heads I stated previously. The ports and chambers are totally different between the two. The program itself isn't interchangeable. I don't think you were told wrong, I think it is a mis-interpretation. When you say "like" the stage 2.5 5.3 heads doesn't mean you are getting the same porting as a 5.3 head. Notice the price difference when you said that you will send in your heads as well, 300 dollar price difference from the stage 2 ls6 heads. That's there price difference for the cores if you just buy them straight up.
