Yep. A stock 80e is better than most built 60e

That 220/220 cam with the prc heads with a circled 3200 would be a nice combo.

Doesn't your truck come stock with 243s/799s??? Why don't you have them cncd and milled instead of messing with the 5.3 heads?

The prc 2.5 5.3 heads come in a 243/799 casting. All you have to do is let them know. Plus it'd keep you from having to wait for the heads to come in. Or you ship them your heads, wait however long, pay 1000-1050 for them to do the 2.5 then install the heads. Save about 300-400.

the casting number is easiest to see ob the passenger side. itll be a 3 digit cast-in number below the valve cover and all the way forward (front of the motor). so iamkeniff if i read your earlier post correctly, the stock lifters are good for 7k rpms? or is that only on the L20 and not the Ly2?

If you are looking at the engine from the passenger side, the casting number should be on the very right hand end of the passenger side head ( I've never actually looked for the driver side), its pretty easy to find, shouldnt have to look real hard.
