On the other hand, if you feel comfortable using the oxy/acet then go for it. I'd use it if I was out of propane.
Well, not everybody is aware of stuff like this. Lots of newbs on the boards who are doing cam swaps and don't know much at all, they just wing it. I'd say an O/A with a rosebud would melt a pulley, wouldn't you?

I Was Just Wondering Because How The Aluminum Wont Hold The Heat Like The Steel Would I Guess From What I Read Go For It Just Be Quick About It And I Would Not Dare To Use An Oxy/acetaline Torch On It. What Do You Think About Using A Little Compressed Co2 On Crank To Cool It A Little.thanks For Everything Just Like To Ask Alot Before I Get Cocky And F**k Something Up I Would Hate To Miss Some Trick And Find It When Its To Late.

Aluminum will disipate the heat over it's entirety instead of it being contained primarily where the heat is being applied like steel.

You'd just have to see it. It was the first real controversial "bad influence" cartoon. Now there are countless raunchy cartoons. They were stupid, funny and anoying all at the same time. Some are just classics
The Fire fire episode got banned because some kid burned his house down because of it or some crap like that. I guess i'm just old.

Not that I know what I'm doing or anything, but I've come up with a way to get the pulley back on with no problem at all.

Seat the pulley by hand and make sure its lined up. Take the stock bolt, but put in backwards with the length sticking out. The shoulder of the bolt sits up against the pulley. Lightly tap the end of the bolt with a hammer, pressing the pulley on to the crank. I usually push it on about 1/2" before I turn over the bolt and thread it in properly. I've done this dozens of times without any problem. No propane, no longer bolt.

I know what B&B is, just haven't seen many episodes. Thanks for explaining though.
