Default long tubes/ORY + stock exhaust what do yall think?

ok its on a 02 gmc 1500 4.8 i was thinking of doing LTs and ORY and just keeping the stock exhaust. what do yall think it will sound like/preform/MPG

I think it would sound good, perform good, and when properly tuned, get slightly better MPG's. I wish I would have added the headers and Y pipe FIRST, on my truck. I went with the $320 Ebay headers and Y pipe.

FWIW, my 2000 Camaro SS ran it's best ET/MPH's with stock catback, followed closely by the SLP dual/dual, then an open cutout...in that order. Actually ran (and sounded) it's worst with Borla and Magnaflow catbacks on it.

Sounds cool, quiet even with no cats and a cam/head setup. Add some cutouts and have the perfect exhaust IMO

I ran that way, LTs ORY and a stock catback for a while. Sounds good and throaty, but eventually the packing in the stock muffler gets blown out and it starts to sound crappy. I ran that way for about 7K miles.

Im running this same set up. its nice and quiet with the windows up, but with the windows down you hear a raspy sound from the muffler. i like it though

is there any you can get me a sound clip of idle and rev, and mybe of one while your in the truck.

Ill have to snag a camera from a friend but ya ill make a vid. No point making a vid from the cab cause the camera wont pic up the sound.

im debating on doing this on my SS when i get LTs and a cam...i want something thats quiet for driving around town and just throw in some e cutouts for when i want to be loud.
