Default little life to the 5.3

Getting ready to go shopping for truck and would like to hear your input. I have a 2002 silverado 1500 5.3 with about 56000. was looking into this set up.

212/218 low lift cam, Pac single beehive valve springs and tsp push rod kit (7.4" long pushrods)

want a 2600 stall converter but don't know if i could still do i little bit of towing if i had to. and of course a tune. also have some pacesetter LT waiting to be put on as well. Any input would be appreciated.

With that cam i would just run the yellow ls6 springs or get the high lift version and run those springs you mentioned..
Circle-d can take the 278mm converter they sell from 3200 down to 2600 for thesame price..Im running one and Chris said i would be fine pulling 6k+ with it...

Overall it sounds like a good setup and i think you'll be happy with it

if you go with good springs you could get a cam a bit bigger than 212/218 like andrew said or the 212/218 high lift

Comp 212 218 XR265HR. Z06 springs, headers. And a PI 2800 Vigilante stall and you'll be lovin life. For now LOL

You can tow all day with a Vigilante triple disc converter, they do it all well , i know im bout to buy my fourth one. They are beefy and lock up nice and solid, ive towed with theexact setup in the first paragraph in my old 04 Z71 ECSB.

I ran the 3200 from Circle D but it was to high for my Avalanche, made it hard to back uphill out of the driveway ummmm...quietly. I put the stock converter back in and saving the Circle D for my designated hot rod.

LS6 springs are fine but IF you wanna go bigger lift later on, id rather the Pac 1218s just to be over with it imo. also that cam an a 3000 stall would make you happier with a lift/33" tires. add a 3.5"-4" cai an enjoy
