It's pretty but, it's about $700 more than the other two I've priced. And they were 402's.

How much are you planning to spend? The 402/408 shortblock specials don't include a cam or heads.A Radix 403 with a 2.75" pulley will only make 7lbs of boost,so if you want to make big hp numbers with that setup you'll need a big cam and heads setup to make power at a higher rev range. That drives up the costs pretty quick.I'm currently looking at the new intercooled Whipple setup that uses a AX3300 supercharger for my 403,I'm thinking that set up will be worth about 750rwhp with a milder cam and on pump gas.

lol, sounds like those 402's are pretty reasonable then, so you've been quoted about $3300 for a 402?

I've got a cam and springs and I was going to use stock 6L heads on whatever I get. I am willing to go 3000-3500 for a new, forged short block. So far the 402's are cheaper than a regular bore forged 6L. If I can find a used LQ4/9 I will just use it and not do any more than 8#'s and a 50 shot. I decided against the 402 because of your problems feeding it with a Radix.

I was gonna find some stock 6L heads on ebay or on here. I don't want to use the heads off the 5.3. I will of course use every other part

These seem a little overpriced but more will come available....

Do they mean EVERYTHING from the intake to the oil pan? I would have a lot of left over parts from the 5.3 huh?
